AlarmHD

A full-featured alarm clock app for the Zune HD.  Alarm or Sleep with playlist of your choice (or Shuffle All).

Current Version: 2.0.1.0

Latest Update: Addition of Snooze function.

Instructions:

Tap things that look like they should be tapped.  Switching from Sleep to Alarm and back does not use swipe; just tap the inactive one.  Same for Playlist / All Songs.  Currently, Sleep is not a timer– set it to the time you want the music to stop.

DST explanation: Spring adds 1 hour, Fall does nothing.

Next Update: make Sleep a timer.

Actually, it works quite well. I am testing it right now. The interface is great and I love that it uses your playlists.

Alright, I’m getting mixed signals here. If the app didn’t work, could you tell me how many playlists you have on your device? That’s the only problem I can possibly see here.

wow. I have got so say that this app is amazing! i really needed a new alarm clock (i have one that beeps like a watch, you freak out when some strangers watch beeps) I was even going to buy a stereo dock thingy just so I can wake up to good music, but now I don’t have to! 5/5!

@WYFerrer– well, first of all, that’s not really a question, but you DO have to leave the app open all night. Don’t worry, the Tegra makes it not even get hot.

Oh, and everyone, I updated the app to work if you don’t have playlists, or if you somehow have an empty playlist. And as a result, there is now a Play All option for playing songs! Go ahead and download if that sounds like something you’d like. Other than that, there’s no real feature updates.

    Wait.. now I understand.

Plug the Zune into a wall outlet to keep it from exiting automatically.

Redwing- a future enhancement: have it play selected podcasts as an alternative to playlists.

Can I do that? Haven’t checked to see if I can access the Podcast library in XNA, but it may be possible. If so, I’ll see what I can do… I don’t want to make the interface too complicated though.

The thing I’m putting in now is DST. Totally forgot about that, and last Sunday my alarm didn’t go off! XD

Hope this didn’t cause anyone problems…

I’ve got to agree with babygirl. This app doesn’t work. It just reboots the zune hd. How do you get this to work? I have a playlist.
